Water Furnace Geothermal System — Unused. We have received a New and Unused Water Furnace Commercial Geothermal Heat Pump System. This unit was sealed in the box, which was only opened for inspection and photography, and reboxed. So, it was a ready replacement. But, it was never needed. My personal experience with these units is that they are highly reliable. I just replaced two of these units myself which were initially installed in 1984. These units lack the sophisticated electronic controls, which can be a Achilles’s heal in newer units. They are also Made in the U. They are extremely efficient and are not dependent on outside air temperature to function. They blow 90 degree heat in the winter and ice cold air in the summer.
